Margie Hall Williams, age 80, of Pikeville, wife of the late Amos D. Williams, passed away Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Pikeville Medical Center.
She was born Feb. 14, 1932, at Topmost, a daughter of the late Ellis and Maudie Proffitt Hall. She was retired from the shoe factory in Prestonsburg and was a member of Ford’s Branch Church of Christ, in Pikeville.
Margie is survived by two sons, Gregory L. Hall, of Frenchburg, and Tony Bee Hall, of Bevinsville; two daughters, Debra Green, of New Washington, Ohio, and Loretta Hicks, of Bevinsville; two brothers, Gay Hall, of Topmost, and Verman Hall, of Melvin; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
In addition to her husband and parents, Margie was preceded in death by a son, Michael “Tikey” Hall; a daughter, Charlotte Newman; six brothers, Elmer, Ishmael, Carmel, Wallis, Lonnis and Moses Hall; and three sisters, Cora Collins, Gallie Slone, and Carnie Smock.
Funeral services for Margie Hall Williams were held Sunday, Jan. 13, at the Wheelwright Freewill Baptist Church, with Louie Ferrari officiating. Burial followed in the Buckingham Cemetery, at Bevinsville.
Hall Funeral Home, of Martin, was in charge of arrangements.
