LOUISVILLE - The Piarist Lady Knights halted a two-game losing skid on Thursday (Dec. 27), defeating host Beth Haven 62-53.
In another game late last week, Piarist fell short versus June Buchanan, falling 49-64.

Piarist 62, Beth Haven 53: Cathryn Calhoun registered a double-double and two of her teammates joined her in double figures in the scoring column as Piarist pulled away to beat Bath Haven 62-53 on Thursday (Dec. 27).
Calhoun paced Piarist with 24 points and 12 rebounds.
Kalli Akers netted 19 points and Jessi Hale added 12 for the Lady Knights.
Piarist was 22-of-63 from the field. Shooting nearly 30 percent from beyond the arc, Piarist drained eight-of-27 3-pointers.
Shelby Lemaster rounded out the Piarist scoring with five points. Lemaster grabbed nine rebounds in Piarist’s victory.
June Buchanan 64, Piarist 49: June Buchanan notched its fifth straight win on Friday, defeating Piarist 64-49.
Cathyrn Calhoun led Piarist with 16 points. Calhoun also had six rebounds.
Joining Calhoun in double figures, Kelli Akers chipped in 12 points for the Lady Knights.
Shelby Lemaster had eight points, Lauren Wright seven and Jessi Hale six for Piarist in the setback.
Hale secured a team-high 10 rebounds for the Lady Knights. Lemaster grabbed nine rebounds and Wright chased down seven caroms for the Piarist girls’ basketball team.
Piarist shot 32.8 percent (19-of-58) from the field in the loss.
