LaVonne Lafferty, age 75, of Prestonsburg, died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at Kings Daughters Hospital.
She was born March 30, 1937, in Floyd County, to the late Edgille and Della Marshall Baldridge. She was the wife of the late Freddie Lafferty and worked as a homemaker. LaVonne was a pastor of the Full Gospel Community Church in Allen. She was also Director of Christian Eduction for Mountain Christian Academy. She owned LaVonne’s Rest, in Martin, and also attended First Assembly of God and Martin United Methodist.
She was preceded in death by her son, William Johnathan Conley; a brother, Conrad Baldridge; and a sister, Thomasine Baldridge Patrick.
She is survived by her sons, Edgille Conley (Diane) and Christopher R. Lafferty (Shea); daughter, Sabrina C. Holbrook (Chris); grandchildren, Jason (Amber), Joshua (Jennifer) Braxton and Colton; great-grandchildren, Paige and Paul; sister, Daphne Reid (Ronald); and brothers, Edgille Douglas Baldridge (Janet), Larry David Baldridge (Lois) and Gary “Buck” Baldridge (Mary Lois).
Funeral services were held Sunday, Dec. 30, at Nelson Frazier Funeral Home. Burial followed the service in the Davidson Memorial Gardens, at Ivel.
