Rebels defeat South Floyd in Wounded Warrior Support Match

EASTERN - The Allen Central volleyball team swept visiting South Floyd 3-0 (25-21, 25-15, 25-11) on Thursday to win the Wounded Warrior Support Match and remain undefeated in the Floyd County Conference and 58th District. Allen Central, fresh off an an appearance in the All “A” Classic, improved to 20-3 overall.


Ciara Jones led the Rebels with 15 kills on .667 hitting. Katie Kendrick had 10 kills on .588 hitting and eight blocks. Courtney Hodge dished out 33 assists to complement her three put-downs and four service aces in Allen Central’s victory. Laken Tackett chipped in six kills and three blocks for the Rebels.


Libero DeShea Elliott led an outstanding Rebel defensive effort with a career-high 27 digs. She also displayed some offensive prowess, earning four service aces and registering a kill. Kendrick earned 11 digs and Hodge registered nine scoops.
